About the founder

Hope Morrison

Founder of the School of Sexual Wellness.

One conviction, four ventures

There are parts of a woman's life that everyone avoids: the questions you're left to search for at 2am, the symptoms you're told are normal, the experiences you have never said out loud. Hope Morrison built her life's work inside those silences.

She is a global educator, author and founder. Her work spans intimate wellness education through the School of Sexual Wellness, the barely intimacy range, Sol supplements, the RESIDUE framework for emotional processing, and HOPE, a charity launching soon. One conviction runs through all of it: women deserve knowledge, language and support for the parts of their lives no one else will talk about.

THE SHIFT brings that body of work to the menopause transition, the life stage where medicine stops short, where women are handed a pamphlet and left to rebuild alone. This is where the real rebuilding begins.

Hope Morrison, founder of THE SHIFT

"Hormones will do their part. The rest, the confidence, the connection, the becoming, that's ours to rebuild. Together."

A personal note

A personal note from Hope

There is something I cannot stop thinking about.

I have spent my entire life surrounded by women. I am a woman. I have a daughter. I come from women. I am surrounded by friends, family and women whose stories have crossed mine in ways both big and small.

Women are everywhere. We raise families, build lives, care for others and carry more than is often seen. We pass down stories, warnings, advice and pieces of ourselves.

And yet, somehow, there are things about being a woman that nobody passes down.

How can we spend our entire lives surrounded by women and still arrive at one of the most significant transitions of our lives completely unprepared? How can we live in a woman's body for decades and suddenly begin to feel like a stranger inside it?

I wasn't prepared either.

Like so many women, I assumed I would know. Surely someone would tell me. Surely I would recognise it. Surely a system built to care for women's health would have prepared us for something so many of us will experience.

But too often, it hasn't.

Instead, we find out while we are already in it. When sleep disappears. When our moods change. When our thoughts become harder to hold onto. When confidence slips away. When desire and intimacy change. When the body we have lived in for decades suddenly speaks a language we were never taught.

And somewhere in the middle of it all, we ask: What is happening to me?

Perhaps the hardest part is how quickly that question can become: What is wrong with me?

So we search. At midnight. Between school runs and meetings. In appointments, articles and conversations with friends. And eventually, many of us discover that the thing we thought was happening only to us is happening to women everywhere.

We were never alone in it. We were simply never given the map.

And then I look at my daughter, and everything becomes personal.

I wonder what the world will tell her about her body, and what it will leave out. I wonder whether her generation will still have to learn about themselves by accident. Whether she will ever have to ask, Why didn't anyone tell me?

I don't want that for her. I don't want that for any woman.

That is why THE SHIFT exists.

Not because I have all the answers, but because I no longer accept that women should have to search for them alone.

We deserve the words before we need them. The knowledge before the fear. The conversation before the silence.

We cannot change what generations before us were never told. But we can decide what we pass forward.

If women have spent generations searching for these answers, perhaps ours can be the generation that starts leaving them where other women can find them.

For the women who came before us and were never given the words. For the women beside us, quietly trying to make sense of what is changing. For ourselves, because we deserve better than finding out the hard way.

And for our daughters, so they never have to ask why nobody told them.
